I can vividly remember having a keen and quick mind when I was young (well, as long as there was no math involved anyway...lol). There are days when I seriously question just how close senility and I are getting before we completely smash into each other and become one . . .
Here's a perfect example of what I mean . . .
Kari and I decided we needed to pursue some corporate business and were working on sample products to show off. Many of our customers generously agreed to allow us use of their logos, and we had used several of them already. We were trying to come up with a logo that would show well on a tiny promotional item, and didn't have one the right size. So, off to the drawing board we go . . .
<--- Kari had pulled up this graphic, and we were trying to cupe up with a fake name of a bar or restaurant. So I'm sitting next to her and we're both staring at this graphic on the computer screen and I say "Oh - I have a great idea - let's use - oh, what's the name of that big metal hook thing that ships throw overboard to keep them in one place?" . . .
Oh so very slowly, Kari turns her head and just stares at me. Almost simultaneously, I realize just what I said and say - "No! Don't Say it! Say Nothing!"
She starts grinning at the idiot I am and soon we're both laughing hysterically . . .
Anchors Aweigh Ye Glarly Wench - Indeed! :)
