My Dad is famous for his zillion quotes he loves to gift us, and this is one of his favorites. I've heard it enough over the years that you would think it would have sunk in by now - so this is just a testament to just how thick my skull is.
Big Sister: "Hey, there's a big trade show in Texas in March. I think we should go." Little Sister: "Well, it's not Colorado, but I'm in. Let's do it!"
So . . . off we go in my little blue car - so excited we are going to actually learn how to work the dang beast of a machine!
It turns out - it was indeed a great show, but engraving was only a small little part and we learned virtually nothing helpful about lasering.
Instead, there were tons of amazing booths on this super cool thing called Sublimation - actually another of Zena's "Great Idea" suggestions - smart lady, that one.
Sublimation is this full color printing technique on a variety of substrates and one of the coolest toys EVER.
Now remember, we came here to learn about this jillion-dollar beast we have at home . . . And since that wasn't happening, I couldn't just go away empty-handed . . .
Yep - you guessed it - I plunked down some more gold in exchange for yet another machine we had no idea how to actually operate . . .
