Powder coating is a way to add color to metal. It has many industrial applications, but is often used to add color to Yeti-style tumblers, bullet bottle openers and lights. A dry powder is sprayed onto metal to coat the surface, and then baked in an oven. During the baking process the powder cures and fuses to the metal, creating a durable decorative finish. A laser engraver will burn away the coating to reveal the metal underneath, most often stainless steel or aluminum. Evergreen Engraving does not provide powder coating services, but can certainly engrave powder coated items.
